  1. Its a plug in problem, and not a difficult one. Write it out:

    4.55 ml solid

    36.66g = bottle + solid

    13.95 g = solid

    Subtract the weight of the bottle and solid from the weight of the bottle.

    33.66g - 13.95g = weight of solid in grams

    then density = mass/volume

    density = g of solid/4.55 ml

    Pull out your calculator and plug in the numbers.


  2. JJ, learn the science.  The difference in mass is the mass of the solid.  Mass divided by volume is density.
