A busy signal, then a pause, then ringing when i call this number??

I've been calling the same number for a month and it's always a busy signal, but today when I call it it was still a busy signal. But i let it just sit there, and didnt hang up. The busy signal went away after about 30 seconds, and it was silent for about 30 seconds. This it started to ring, but I hung up after the first ring. What does it mean??

Probably a dead line, or you are calling a number which is getting routed oddly. I work partly with telemarketers and sometimes you will call a number and it will do all sorts of bizarre things such as give a tone you have never heard before, or ring out and then give a busy tone. In the end, I'm sure the number you are calling is dead, and your call was routed to another number by accident.
