I sell custom made items on ebay and an overseas seller tried to claim she had never received it. Luckily, i had sent it via recorded mail (which she didn't pay for) so i could prove that she received it.

However, it's been almost a month sincei submitted tracking info and the money is still being held by pay pal. When will i get it back? Will i get it back?! I earnt this money and have proved she recieved it so why are they taking so long?! Scam artists!

Also i am slightly worried as under the selelr protection programme i am technically not covered as i sent it after 7 working days (my items take a while to complete). The buyer knew this. Is she trying to exploit the system?! I have sent numerous emails and have actually sent a written letter to her address asking her to communicate.

Help!

Thanks

  1. sounds like a scam check the email originated from pay pal i had one to say that the funds wouldnt be released until i gave a shipping number but it was all a scam get ebay to check where the email originated from

  2. If u have proof that she recieved it, then dont panic. PayPal will hold back the funds untill resolved. Are you sure they went to correct address though?

  3. there are a lot of ways to exploit ebay/paypal and I know quite a few (gathered for research, I hasten to add,  as I am a seller too, and sometimes sell worldwide).

If her complaint is that 'she never received the goods', then, as long as you sent 'international signed for', and have given that info to paypal, they should rule in your favour and allow you the funds............. eventually
