  1. There seems to be something missing the voltage drop is 15mV per what? Foot? Meter? Mile?

    4% of 240 is 9.6 volts or 9600mV right? So 9600/15 = 640.

    So 640 X where X is the length unit (feet, for example).

    Note you normally see wire in resistance per unit length which would be .015/8 in this case (Ohm's law).
