A cannon video camera? it is showing white lines PLEASE HELP?

Canon Video cameras that were manufactured between 2002 and 2004 had a problem with the CCD image sensor that caused white lines or no recorded picture at all.  Check out the Canon site.   If you have one of the cameras that was affected they will generally repair the known problem for free even if it is out of warranty.  They won't repair any other problem for free out of warranty.
