A car cruise question

Question

How come when I set the cruise control in my car (02 Dodge Intrepid) it like speeds up like 4 mph and then gradually drops back down to where i wanted it at? Its really annoying and sometimes it doesnt even do it! Like I'll want to set it at 60 but it speeds up to 64ish so next time i'll set it at 55ish figuring itll go to 60ish and i can just hit accel to get it there when it goes down but it stays at 55!! Does anyone else's car do this? Just a ? of curiousity I guess...

your not alone. my mothers got an 03 chrysler town & counrty that does the same exact thing. i couldnt figure out why though.
