A car that holds 3 car seats in the back?

Question

Any suggestions. I don't want anything too massive but need to be able to out 3 car seats in the back and have enough room for a double buggy in the boot.

it depends on the type of car seat you have.  My sister had the same problem she had 2 forward facing car seats and 1 rear facing infant seat and they were able to fit in the back of her Honda CRV--but now she a larger rear facing that will not fit and so she got a van.  her friend has a Nissan Maxima with 3 forward facing seats but they are really squished and they are all at a slight angle(not sure if that is safe or not)  Your best bet is a van or SUV

The only save and good answer i can give is go to car dealers with the double buggy, and tell the salesperson that you need a car that is not massive, but smallish car, yet big enough to fit the double buggy and all manner of other stuff (shopping!) also tell him the max price you want to spend.

i would stress on taking the buggy as there is little use of a car once you brought it on the basis that you think the boot will take the buggy without a struggle.  I'd raher have a car, in which i can just "throw" the buggy in a downpour if i have to rather than struggle with the blooming thing!

my wife is a child minder and always has 3 car seats in the back. she has a chevrolet tacuma, ok not the prettiest of cars, but so very practical for kids. big boot, lots of storage and 3 full rear seatbelts. and best of all, very very cheap. she paid £3800 for an 06 plate with 10000 miles on the clock. excellent running and driving car too, much better value than a picasso or a galaxy

I know nothing of what cars are availible in  the UK. Could you be a little more specific.

kia carens,i have a five seater but you can get a 7 seater,i get 3 car seats in and 2 dogs in the back hatch so good size,and good on fuel
