  1. You can get a counselor job with dual diagnosis/eating disorder with a bachelor's degree, you can do therapy with a masters degree, or you can get a phd in clinical, which is different from a PsyD which deals with meds.

  2. The Psychology Department offers two master's programs in Counseling Psychology: Licensure and Non-Licensure tracks.

    Good luck!

  3. ....in these days when people are suffering from pressures and mental tensions, A career in psychology is best suited and you do not need much investment also. The counseling help people and a good source of income for you.

  4. Not all psychologists are therapists.  Go to apa.org to read about careers, salaries, accredited programs, etc.  Psychologists (licensed) in several states can now prescribe drugs.  That no longer differentiates a psychologist from a psychiatrist.  A Ph.D. psychologist can make a high 6 figure income if they are well trained.  Clinical psychologists are trained in diagnoses, therapy and research.

To practice as any type of psychologist you need a minimum of a master's degree.  (retired IBM corp exec/psychologist/college professor)
