A casting director person...is coming to my city, and I want to try out but....?

I only have 6 days until he comes...

I want to audition, but I don't know what to do ?

I've never done anything like this before..

I've done a few plays, but not like this...

it's a once in a lifetime chance....

You don't need to do anything! for casting auditions, they usually just have you slate and do a cold read (slate is when you say you're name, age, and where you're from) they will give you a side(sample of a script) from a commercial most likely and you will just have to  look over it and then read it the best you can....it's really not near as intimidating as it seems like it's going to be. Casting directors are always really friendly because it's part of their job, they want you to do well because you doing well means that they found some new talent they can use. Don't sweat it, just go in and have fun and you will be fine:)

i would go for it and give it ur all and being nervous is perfectly normal but if this is a once in a life time chance u have to go for it or u might regret it.u never know what can happen and think about it...what do u have to loose

dont sweat it, usually, they just ask you questions, whats your favorite restaraunt? what do u like to do in spare time? do you have a pet? whats its name? questions like that. or they give you a script and you have to memorize it, but if you forget some parts they have a board in the room they call you in so you can look on their and pickup from where you forgot the line. its really not that hard, your usually out of there in like 10 minutes if you get there early, but you will have to wait longer if you wait.
