It appears that there was too little adherent used in the original installation. A litle weight and Voila, off it came.

I am a single Mother who does most repairs and maintenance.

How can I repair this? i.e. grout, adhesive, cement....etc.

  1. Use a cement mixture.

  2. Use silicone, it's the best.put it on the towel rack and on the wall.get someone to help you hold it in place until you either tape it to the wall or support it from beneath with something else( this is because it will slide down your tile wall)Make sure it's in place before you go to bed.

after 24 hours you should be able to hang an elephant of it.

  3. i would jam some liquid nail on both parts and put it back up,,let it set and put the rack back oor whatevever else you have to glue it up with.
