  1. During my last trip I came across a website called http://www.cheaphotel-s.com . It has quite a large variety of hotels. You might wanna give it a try.

  2. try this website

    http://www.hoteltopten.com/london-hotel....

  3. A great way to do it, which is what I did last time, is to take up a room in someones house or flat. then you save on eating out all the time (pricey in London!) I stayed in a flat 10 mins from Tower of London in the square mile for 40 pounds a night, this also saves on transport because you can walk everywhere. You also get good advice from your host on other cheap things in London, as they are locals, and how not to get ripped off. You can see these kind of lets on Gumtree, but I dont know if she is still in business but my stay had the e mail we2talk@talktalk.net. Drop her a line. Good Luck.

  4. I stayed at the Days Inn near Westminster, it was pleasant enough and not too expensive.

  5. We always use the Lancaster Hall Hotel, not far from Lancaster Gate (therefore Hyde Park) and Paddington Station. It's subsidized

by the German Government (it used to be called German YMCA)

and the plumbing and breakfasts are German. Extremely clean.

The Youth Wing rooms are very cheap for the quality.

  6. yep i agree with the other two cheap and London not a good combination why not try a hostel for cheap

the source below will link you to Hostel World

you might also want to try TripAdvisor again follow the source below

    hope this will help

  7. basically this is the holy grail. You really need to ask yourself how much do you want to pay. Less than £40 and our looking at a hostel. 2 star around £60-75 3 star £75-95 4 star £95+

this is based on the accepted areas for a budget hotel AND being within central London. These are bloomsbury, kings cross, earls court, paddington and pimlico. Yes budget hotels are well priced but there are not many actually central and the ones that are like the Travelodge Covent Garden  are cheap but not as cheap as the ones further out. What can you expect for your money? Expect basic bed and breakfast with small rooms and no frills. Someone mentioned the City Inn Westminster, this is an excellent choice but i would say its not that cheap, but well priced for a 4 star.

  8. holday inn or travelodge

  9. I agree with Phil.....cheap and London do not go together
