for the charges on various drops.

1.7 10-12 zirkombs 6.0 10-12 zirkombs

2.6 10-12 zirkombs 4.3 10-13 zirkombs

Use these data to calculate the charge of the electron in zirkombs.

I AM SO CONFUSED!

i got it down to like 1x10^ -14

but that's not right

  1. So you need to find a number that divides all 4 numbers.  0.85*10^-12 zirkombs does that.  So one electron is 0.85*10^-12 zirkombs.

And please don't insult Millikan by calling him a chemist.  He was a physicist!
