A chemistry problem...about sodas and a diet sodas?

In the water, you put two cans of sodas. One is floating(diet soda) and one is sinking(regular).

Do the ingredients used in soft drinks affect their density? with EXPLANATIONS PLZ!!

  1. A 12-ounce can of regular soda has 35-45 grams of sugar, whereas diet soda has no sugar but only a fraction of a gram of a super sweetener like aspartame or sucralose. The regular soft drink is more dense than the diet soda, enough to make it sink.
