The parents work and live in the Netherlands under the knowledge migrant scheme.

    That is the way it works in many countries.


  2. I do know that a child born in NL to non-Dutch parents can obtain Dutch nationality is the parents are resident (officially of course) in NL at the time of birth.  You can read all the details on the official site http://www.minbuza.nl/en/welcome/DutchCi...

    However the 'knowledge migrant scheme' does have special clauses in relation to other official areas, and I am not specifically familiar with the in's and out's of the knowledge migrant scheme.  

    One thing you will have to do anyway when living in the Netherlands is to register the child with the Gemeentehuis (local town hall) where you live, so as soon as you get to NL, it is best that you check directly with them so that you are 100% sure that you have the correct information
