Honestly this just happened near Harrisburg PA this week.

I understand the "he did his time " & "paid for his crimes" .........

Now be honest - do you want him living by your child or grandchild ?

  1. Not really!

However everyone deserves a chance at redemption.

If the man served his sentence without violation, then he has a right to be free, from jail and vigilantes.

Remember the Judge that the people elected rules in these cases, and we have to accept that he or she gave just punishment for each and every crime. This man paid his dues.

Plus, you can rest assure that the authorities keep very close tabs on these people.

  2. of course not

  3. No, he may have done his time, but did he learn from it, or will the demons that drove him there in the first place come right back?

  4. definitely NO WAY

  5. What would Jesus do?

  6. No, why would you like?

He'll probably get a new identity so no one knows of his past.

  7. no but any person that could have a bad influence i wouldn't want them around them. like a murderer drug dealer or junkie..

  8. there is nothing you can do, they are not even allowed to let you know he lives in your neighborhood.

  9. Child rapists should never get out of prison. The recidivism is about 80 percent, which means that unless he's too old to walk, he'll probably do it again. I don't think they should be put to death, though. I think they should be put in the general population of a high security prison and all the inmates should be told what they did. Then they'll suffer the child's fate for the rest of their lives.

  10. i wouldn't want it, no.

but the guy has to live some where.  i'd be vigilant about my kids (hopefully not paranoid) and make them aware of possible danger befriending this particular person.  .

if prison isn't about some kind of rehabilitation then what is the point?  should we just shoot all of them instead?

  11. No way!

After being in the pen for 30 years this guy has a real lot of anger and other things built up. I wouldn't want him living in the same city with me.

Child molesters do not have a very good record when it comes to reform. The recidivist rate among this group is off the charts. For a child molester it should be one strike and you are in for life.

  12. Desire towards children is not something that's cured by years in jail. That's a mental sickness which has no cure. I think people like that should be donated to science, so maybe they can find one. They should never be allowed to walk the streets again once they've been caught.

  13. Castrate him first, then i'd be ok with it.

  14. h***s no. I would just move, he could live wherever he wanted, we'd be out of our house in a hot minute. Being in jail does not change people in the inside. It's like locking a person with OCD in a box and thinking they'll come out cured.

  15. with the way my punkass kids have been acting, i would prefer him living WITH them, thank you very much

  16. No but I would not refuse him his rights, nor a home beside us. Somewhere he has to live and live peacefully. It is a matter of keeping your children informed and keeping him in your eyesight.

I would have him understand that I do not like what he has done and I would want him to stay away from my kids. I would hold him to that. I would not persecute the man. He's paid, perhaps he has learned as well?

If the likes of you and I cannot forgive a crime from so long ago and paid for .... then who the h**l are we to ask God for His forgiveness?
