My girl friends chubby cat "Monster" has lived a heck of a life, now he sleeps, eats and dose his litter box business. That's it, he did not play much and has a loud cry sometimes it almost sounds like he is yelling at me, but when I go to check on him he softly meows and purrs, just wants love. But he is unable to clean hisself, She use a wet one type cloth designed for cats and when I pet him, his hair comes out in clumps! Am she just being selfish by not letting go? He had a stroke and went dead on the left side the Vet said no Blood flow on left side, I don't have the heart but I just don't know if it's time, I am on the fence and just don't know?

  1. I had a hard time deciding when it was time with my beloved cat.  But what I found I had to do was to take myself out of the equation.  Stop and think of what is best for your CAT, not what you want or dont want. I wont lie to you - its not easy. But this kind of decision never is.  Also get your vets opinion.  I suspect that its probably time unless the vet feels he could improve.  But remember - follow your heart and do what is best for HIM.  As caretaker, YOU know the cat best.
