  1. Wow what a good question to bring back wonderful childhood memories!  The toy I received was not actually even a toy.  When I was very young, I would stay with my great-grandmother, she always brought out all the wash cloths (she called them wash rags) and we rolled them up and made "dolls" to play with.  She sat for hours playing "wash rags" with me.  There was one cloth that was red and white striped that she called "Pluto", it was always my favorite.  Now more than 40 years later, I still have "Pluto" in a very special box!

  2. I was always most attached to stuffed animals. I still remember the names of some of them I have saved from 20 years ago. While teaching preschool, we have sharing days. Most of the children bring in favorite stuffed animals - especially girls. Mostly boys become attached to action figure type toys and cars. But, I'm not sure if they are gifts they treasure for many years. I think for girls they are more likely to take special care of a toy and hold on to it for a long time. Girls are more naturally inclined to be attached to a special toy than boys.

  3. I got a doll on Mother's Day when I was six. I still have her!

  4. barbie

  5. a home made doll, my great grandma made one for me when I was little, it was and still is precious

  6. oh, that is twenty years ago, when my father brought a little sparrow home, you know how happy i was.
