  1. I have suffered pain, severe pain in my bones especially the leg, hip and shinbone to the point when hip surgery was scheduled, however there developed an infection and surgery had to be canceled, to find latter that it well may have been the side effect of a medicine I have been taking. It became more bearable with time, and I use magnets, to get relief, and occasionally Bio freeze, exercise and aqua therapy to keep going with the arthritis. Massage is helpful as well. Then I find myself praising God for sending us His Son to save me and redeem me from sin. I give thanks and praise for the healing in the Name of Jesus.

  2. Their are many ways to control pain. Remember this fact, the human brain is classed as a organ just like the heart, however unlike the heart, the brain cannot feel pain! So if someone took a knife and stuck it in your brain, you would not scream with pain. If you did the same to any other part of your body, you would scream with pain. We cannot measure pain, we cannot see it, we cannot hear it, smell let alone taste it, but all we do is 'perceive' it. Perceptions can be deceptive as I happen to think Mel Gibson is the best Hunk walking this Planet, but other females would disagree, because we all perceive things differently. Therefore as pain is just that, a perception, it is possible to alter the perception. That can be done by ignoring the pain, inflicting pain elswhere, like a rubber band around the wrist, closing your eyes and learning to relax, or venting the pain in other ways. I recall one night my knee was so sore I decided I had the biggest wet Rat sat on my bed knawing at my knee. All I had to do was to go to the grden shed, get the shovel and beat the Rat to death, thereby killing the pain. So I closed my eyes and pretending to do just that. I got the shovel then fell asleep, exhausted! Sometime I like to put all my Arthritic pain into a cardboard box, wrap it up in bright paper, tie a big red bow around the box and leave it on the door step, in hope some mug will steal the box. The lists are endless but the bottom line is distraction techniques and once you learn them, they come in handy. Best of Luck
