  1. Due to Colombia's proximity to the Equator, the temperatures change very little from month to month.

    Colombia has 5 climate zones:

Tropical rain forest - (Central region).  Ã¢Â†Â’Hot and humid with heavy rainfall all year.

Tropical savanna - (Eastern plains).  6 months of rain followed by 6 months of no rain.  Temps between 75-80°F.

Steppe - (the plains of Bolivar and the northern Guajira, the central area of the Orinoquía region and the higher grounds of the Andes mountain range)  Semi-arid.  Desert-like for five months.

Tropical desert - (Guajira and Tatacoa deserts).  Ã¢Â†Â’High temps and almost no rain.

Mountain - (Andes).  Temps decrease with altitude.

Rain decreases with altitude also.  Temps average about 80° at low altitude, 65° at mid altitude and 55° at high altitude.

(I couldn't find a map.  Check back in case I find one.)
