  1. No more cause for concern for Djokovic than he already had.  Rafa played great, but I'm sure Djokovic is prepared for nothing but the best from Rafa anyway.  His win over Gulbis, while not a blow-out, will probably do Djokovic a lot of good heading into his match with Rafa.  It's always good to have an intense mach like that to prepare you for what will indeed be a very intense semifinal.

  2. Though Nadal, and I love him, has breezed through his first 5 matches, having just lost 25 games in those matches, that is 15 sets, will be tested in the semis by Novak. I expect it to be a tough match, but he should come through it. Djokovic plays extremely well on clay, but the edge has got to go to Nadal. Gulbis is a talented up and comer at 19, and Novak did win in straight sets, so should be fresh. Certainly is looking like another Federer-Nadal Final.

  3. Rafa has been playing so well from the start and up to now. I hope he will beat Djoker in easy straight sets and will setup another final clash with Roger or can be anyone else. Rafa will whip annoying Djoker's butt! I can't really stand this guy, did you noticed Djoker did Tsonga's trademark thing when he won against Gulbis? Copycat!

  4. Yeah, that's scary sh*t for Federer fans like myself.

  5. Rafa is just so dominant on clay--there's a very slim chance of Djokovic beating him (though I really hope he does).

And about Djokovic's match today, I thought Gulbis played extremely well..  I look for him to be at least a top 10 player, perhaps higher.

  6. Hard to say.

Djokovic really had to work to make it past Gulbis while it seemed that Rafa didn't even break out a sweat to put Almagro away.

However,I don't think we can judge Rafa's condition purely on the Almagro showdown. Almagro, like all the younger Spanish players,is still too much in awe of the Nadal legend to play a real match. Almagro was hamstrung by his nerves.

Gulbis grew up with Djokovic and knows his game and if anybody could give Djk a bad time it was he! This match may have been a better preparation for the ordeal that now awaits Djokovic and Nadal  than the Almagro match was for Nadal.

We are going to see two hungry players today!! Rafa wants to make tennis history. Djokovic wants to beat Rafa.

  7. You are wrong by thinking that just because Nadal win easily against Almagro that he can do the same to Novak. It is going to be a 5 sets war. May the best man win.

  8. Rafa will win in straight sets in my opinion. Djokovic is good on all surfaces but Nadal on clay is different class. Its a shame Djokovic wasn't drawn to face Federer for a place in the final-That would have been a close match in which Djokovic-My favourite male player, Would have a real chance.

  9. Rafa is looking on HOT HOT HOT form ;) :P ! Im looking forward to the semi-final match between him and Novak. Gulbis played pretty good against Novak to bad he lost his serve, i mean he was a break up:( and then losing the tiebreak. I believe it could have been an enitre different outcome if Gulbis held onto that 2nd set. Well who knows ? All i no is s**y Rafa is looking in great form, great shape, great everything !!! Happy Birthday to Rafa i hope he enjoys his cake :)
