A close contest on the cards in Owners´ Bonus Series - Heat 3
A tough competition will be seen in the Owners´ Bonus Series - Heat 3 at Romford in England on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. Most of the greyhounds have been struggling for consistency, thus it will be interesting to see who finishes at the top of the table
in the end.
The Grade A4 contest is scheduled to start at 21:09 GMT and the spectators will be looking forward to it, as they will be expecting a nail biting finish. The winner will walk away with a cash prize of £112 in the end, thus everyone will be trying their best
to secure the first position.
However, it will not be easy for any participant to dominate the proceedings in the 400 metres competition. They will have to use a solid technique in order to be competitive. Although, speed will be crucial, yet it will be important to have enough stamina
to finish the race strongly.
Looking at the records of all the participants, the bookmakers have given the highest odds to Dunloy View, who is quite new to the sport. He has not appeared in a lot of races, but seems confident enough to handle pressure.
He has mostly contested in Grade A3 competitions and a drop in class will give him a solid chance of being dominant. Despite that, he should not get carried away and needs to remain focussed from the start until the end.
The M. Lucas’ trained hound finished as a runner up in his most recent outing and his confidence level will be good. He was not rated as the favourite to succeed back then, but had the speed to be amongst the top-three.
Colarhouse Mill’s son entered the race from trap number five in that race and will be in a similar position today as well. Although, it is not a very good place to be in, yet he will took to avoid the crowd in the opening phases. If he manages to do that
successfully, no one will be able to come in his way.
However, there is an outside chance for someone like Tonduff Kuyt, who has the ability to surprise his opponents his with speed.
