I'm certain it is impossible, but couldn't find anything to disqualify it on the net.

  1. Yes for years Experts have said it is impossible!!

But nature likes doing impossible things

Earlier this year a newspaper, featured a story of a Cat/dog hybrid.  created in a laboratory -- Other experts were still to confirm through testing if it was a true cat/dog hybrid as claimed.

not heard anything more about it.

  2. This would be impossible by combing the egg and sperm because the 2 animals are not in the same family and therefore their genome doesn't match close enough. HOWEVER, genetic engineering could possibly enable some dog genes to be spliced into cat DNA (or vise-versa) and cause the animal to have characteristics of both. If the picture was not a hoax, that is how it wouod have to be accomplished.

  3. I reckon he was just watching that catdog cartoon on tv

  4. <<a co-worker saw"dog/cat crossbred offspring" on TV.>>

I've seen spaghetti growing on trees on tv.  That doesn't mean it happens.

    <<this is genetically impossible, isn't it?>>

Dogs and cats are too distantly related to even think about breeding with one another, let alone attempting it.
