A code with so many errors?

that is makes your computer smoke? is it possible with any sort of code, errors or intentional, to make a computer smoke?

    The only way it's possible is if the processor is forced in to being overclocked. processors these days have security measures however which shut them down when they reach a certain temperature.


  2. No, not in general.  My computer has very little idle time - less than ten percent.  And it stays on 24/7 for months at a time.  It doesn't overheat, and it's over 5 years old.

    Back in the early 80's, you could fry your IBM PC monitor by hammering the video at a specific frequency. You had to really know what you were doing to make it happen. This was considered a hardware bug.  I can't think of another example since then.

    You might be able to crash your Windows operating system if you try very hard, even as a regular user (not Admin).  I doubt you could crash either a Mac or Linux, even trying very, very hard, except as root.  And in any case, you could always reboot.

    If you make Processor real busy with your logic's and take up all of physical memory.

    Denial of Service attack or Brute Force Attack.

  4. of course.. these things exist... viruses..??.. what do you think tey are.. and mind you there are no "errors" in those programs.. the are "error free" programs doing what they are supposed to do...
