A college prof said students are buying texts from China and India at reduced prices. Help finding please?

A professor at a small midwestern college said that some of his students were buying new texts that are printed in India and China with different covers and more cost effective paper. Same content. He did not know where they got these texts but said they were ordered off internet. Cost only a fraction of texts offered here.

Not everyone has $100.00 per text when they have more than one college student.

Book is "Understanding Your Health. Payne, McGraw Hill, 2008"

I don't know if these are counterfeit books or not, but they're certainly cheaper:

It's possible that they're older editions.
