A complaint on Mother's Day...?

Question

This isn't a question. It's a statement? I worked yesterday on Mother's Day. I worked 8-2 and made $47.00. That's it. Can you believe it?

I kissed peoples butts, and I was very smiley and cheerful, and joked with the customers, and gave extra napkins (we served a breakfast buffet), and drinks, and people were sooooo cheap. It was nothing that I did, I received compliments, but people were cheap.

We even had this table, the mother let her 1 year old throw a ton of pancake pieces on the floor, and my boss gave her a hand held vacuum cleaner to clean it up, and she flipped. She was cursing and complaining, and she did clean some of it up, but not all of it, and even the other customers couldn't believe what a mess they left behind. They left the other waitress $3 for a table of 8!! Our boss will do that. Would that lady leave her home looking like that? But that is the kind of c**p we have to put up with, and then be cheap on top of it. Today was better. Thanks for letting me vent!!!

Well you now what that would suck, my mom had to work on mother's day! I was so,so mad cause i wanted to spend time with her but i couldn't do that. Sorry about that.

It is sad how people act in a restaurant.  I used to be a waitress and i honestly hated working on sundays with the "church" crowd, because the majority of them had families and they let the children do whatever and they expected always left small or no tip.

I used to waitress also and I think it's one of the hardest jobs ever physically and mentally so I don't blame you one bit for being upset.  I think the best tipers are other waiters and waitress' because we understand the job.  I'm glad you made out better today.  Just keep being your nice self cause it all pays off.  Some people are just plain miserable themselves and they seem to all have landed in your place yesterday,
