    weight of compound after heating=22.70-20.15=2.55g

    compound loss during heating=2.74-2.55=0.19g

    compound lossis oxygen,

    compound remain after heating is silver.

    reaction equation:

    AgxOy + y/2H2--> xAg + yH2O

    x=2.55/107.87=0.024 mole Ag

    y=0.19/16=0.012 mole O

    Divided by smallest mole,

    0.024/0.012=2

    0.012/0.012=1

    So, empirical formula=Ag2O
