  1. 1 giga = 1,000,000 = 10^( 6)

    1,000,000,000 micro = 10^( 9) micro = 1

    Now start solving :

    10^( 6) calculation = giga-calculation

    1 second = 10^(9) micro-second

       1.8 giga-calculation / second

    = 1.8 * 10(6) calculation / 10^(9) micro-second

    = 1.8 * 10( -3) calculation / micro-second

    = 0.0018 calculation / micro-second.

    ---------------------------- ----------------- ----------------

    NOTE :

In engineering we never use suffix like micro in the denomenator. We "should" use the suffix in the numerator only.. This is the law in the units !

Then the form given in the giga calculation per second is more preffered, however both are correct  :)

  2. 1.8x10^8 calc/s | 10^-6 s / 1μs | = 1.8x10^3 calc/μs = 1.8 kilocalc/μs

  3. Divide 1.8G by 1,000,000.  You shouldn't be asking questions you either know, or can find anywhere
