Question:

A couple Calculus questions on Derivatives?

1) If y=(2x+1)^3(3-x)^2, then dy/dx = ?

2) If f(x) = 3x-2 / 2x+1, then f ' (x) = ?

I got most of the problems done that had to do with limits, but I forgot how to do these derivatives... thanks in advance.

  1. chain rule = a(function)^(n) = an(function)^(n-1)(d(function))

    quotient rule = (bottom(d(top)) - (top)(d(bottom)))/bottom^2

    product rule = first(d(second)) + second(d(first))

i meant d for derivative, but im sure you caught on. (:
