Hi

Were going to Limassol in Cyprus soon and i was wondering what type of plug do they use? Also whats a good place to visit? Also is there any vegetarian/vegan restaurants?

Also we're looking for a more relaxing sort of holiday but going to tourist attractions as well.

Vegan: person who does eats only meat/egg free products including gelatine and food which contains egg yolk or anything like that.

  1. They use a 3 pin U.K plug.

  2. Plugs used here are UK 3 pin but some appliances you buy in the shops only have 2 pins so you sometimes need a little plastic adaptor to fit over the 3 pin plug.

The best place to relax is on the west of the island where it's unspoilt and you can find a piece of beach all to yourself. Polis/Latchi area is a about 1 hour 20 mins from Limassol but well worth the journey.

Check out the pictures on the website below.

Also visit Kourion/Curium - the ancient Roman city near Episkopi/Limassol. Very interesting and lots of ruins still in good condition.

Lastly all restaurants will do vegetarian food of sorts though choice is often limited. On the west, we go to mountain village restaurants eg Neo Chorio near Latchi and ask for the local specialities that don't include meat eg dried beans with locally grown "greens", or kolokasi (a root vegetable like a yam) in fresh tomato sauce. You can get vegan diet products in the shops here like soya milk etc

    Enjoy Cyprus!
