A couple of questions about the Olympics?

Well i was wondering, can anyone just join the olympics? or do you need some sort of university sports degree?

Another question, how long and heavy are the official javelin spears for the olympics?

  1. I think you need to be good at something, and there is 'people' observe your potential and report to the related association (eg: sport) and they will consider taking you and train you more. if you can up to the world standard, then they will put you to olympic.

  2. To join the olympics, you need to have talent.  To begin though you would need to go through all these competitions and then the try-outs.  A javelin weighs 800 grams for men and 600 grams for women.

  3. Well if your a top athlete in your event then you can join the Olympics. But first you have to place high enough in the Olympic try-outs though.
