Is it like mint (perrenial, i think) where you chop all the tops off for use and then the root systems shoot up more growth?

Can you take a coriander plant out of the ground and plant it elsewhere, if so, what time of year is best (ie, what season)?

How do you go about drying the leaves for storage and future use?

  1. Coriander, also known as Cilantro, is an annual herb, which means the seed germinates, grows, blooms, seeds, and dies all in the same year. Fortunately, Coriander produces quantities of seed and is easily started again the following year.

Coriander does not retain its flavor at all well for future use. Use it fresh.
