A couple of weeks ago construction crew working in yard gave me a small rabbit to prevent it from being crushed by backho machine. I put it a box in basement when I came back from pet store with kitten milk it was gone.Today my Shepard found it again outside under rock by basement foundation.I immediately opened kitten replacement milk and bottlle, I fed him a very little and have it in small carrier. I went to my local animal shelter which told me to call Humane Society which told me to call game commisoner and was then informed to put rabbit back as well as all info. I found on-line. I just want to make sure I should put back near rock or continue to try to nurture it. He sure is cute! Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

  1. why don't you keep it as a pet if you can they like carrots and lettuce and you can buy rabbit food and make sure you give the rabbit some water as it will be thirsty.

  2. as long as it's hopping around and eating, leave it alone. bunnies mature very quickly. The mother doesn't even stay with them that long. I'm sure he's just fine.

they are cute though aren't they. we've got one next store i see all the time. tiny little thing. happily eating everything it can find.

  3. Did you look up wildlife rehabilitators in your state?  If it is nursing..it should go to a wildlife specialist where they can take care of it and let it go when it's time.
