else had made, I can taste the lighter fluid. Does this mean some

was spilled on the grilltop and I should not eat the food? (No, it is

not someone trying to poison me, it was at a group function.)

  1. It was probably that they didn't let the lighter fluid burn off their coals and it was the fumes... I don't think you'll get sick just doesn't taste terribly great!!!!

  2. It probably means they didn't wait long enough to burn it all off.

  3. No, it just means that someone started cooking before the grill was truly ready, you're supposed to wait until the lighter fluid burns off then cook, if it didnt make you sick I wouldnt worry about it, as for the next time, it may have just been burnt.  Food you eat at BBQ's arent the best food I wouldnt worry too much about it, think about all the flies that are on all the food it's just as bad!!!  haha

  4. I have seen people add fluid while the meat is on the grill, I just play around with the food and toss it in the trash, when no ones looken.
