ok, i want to buy someting online... and i filled all the details and came to entering the account info... so i look at the box where it says 'card number' so i put it down, then i realise the numbers can only go till 16 digits and my card number digits are 18 digits...

and also if they ask for ur card number... is it at the top of my name or at the bottom of my name printed on the card?

  1. Major cards; Visa, MC, Discover, AMEX all use 16 digit card numbers.  Look at the front of the card, not back where you sign it.  Use just the large imprint numbers.


  2. There should only be 16 digits in your credit card number.

    Don't put any spaces in when you type your number.

    The number is usually across the middle of the card and your name is near the bottom so your card number is above your name.

  3. 18? odd. I've never heard of that.

    Are you outside the US? Perhaps you're ordering from another country's site... no? maybe?

    I have no idea, I've never heard of an 18 digit credit card before.
