If 13.0 grams of CCl3F is enclosed in a 1.1 - L container, will any liquid be present?

  1. Assuming the temperature is 300 K then.

    PV=nRT

    856 torr x 1.1 L=n x 62.4(mmHg♦L)/(mol♦K) x 300 K

    n=0.050 mol

    0.050 mol x 137.5 g CCl3F/mol=6.9 g CCl3F

    So we have 6.9 grams of vapor leaving us with 6.1 grams of liquid.
