A detailed analysis of the MotoGP rider Dani Pedrosa in the 2012 season so far – MotoGP
The upcoming Indianapolis Grand Prix has a history of favouring Repsol Honda. Honda holds all the records for the track. Both riders of Honda, Dani Pedrosa and Casey Stoner are giving amusing performances with their bikes in the current 2012 season.
Although Casey Stoner holds all the records for Honda in Indianapolis except the top Speed record but he remains a point behind Pedrosa, on the podium, at third place, with 173 points against his teammate’s 182.
Pedrosa started his MotoGP career with Honda in 2006 and was able to attain 5thplace in the championship securing 215 points. This was the worst performance he ever gave to Honda, in his MotoGP career until now.
In the current 2012 season, he holds second position in the championship with 182 points. His achievements are all result of his consistency with his ride.
The success story starts from the Qatar Grand Prix when Pedrosa was only able to make it to the 7th position in the qualifying round, however he finished the race at 2nd position. In the Spanish Grand Prix his consistency started. He started the race at
2nd place and was able to finish it at third place. He was able to generate same results in the third Portugal Grand Prix as he generated in the Spanish GP.
France Grand Prix was the only race, which he started and could not make it to the podium in the current season, until now. He started the race at the first grid place and was only able to finish it at the fourth place.
At the Catalonia Grand Prix he made it convincingly to the podium at the second place. In the following three races he made it to the winning place by securing 3rd, 2nd and 1st position in British Grand Prix, Netherland Grand Prix and German Grand Prix respectively,
and then later the trend reversed to 1st, 2nd and 3rdstarting from the German GP adding the Italian Grand Prix and the United States Grand Prix
German GP was the only race in which he was able to leave the circuit as a winner, in the current season.
With 182 points he is the only potential threat to the championship leader Jorge Lorenzo, until now, who is leading the championship with 205 points.
The Spanish is of the view that they would be able to improve their performance in the remainder of the season. He also believes that improvement is a challenging task because of the close competition between the top positions. He added that in order to
improve the results every detail would have to be pondered upon and then and only then they would be able to improve their results.
Furthermore, he thinks that the rider who commits less amounts of mistake and performs impressively will only be able to end the season as a champion.
The war for the first place is going on between Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa. They were teammates earlier and had some dispute over the records they have set.
It is expected that the competition between Honda and Yamaha on the circuit will be amusing to watch in the next 2013 season because Valentino Rossi has joined Yamaha and this will result in a competition between the teammates as they would have the same
bikes and hopefully their performance will be more challenging.
Pedrosa faces the competition of his teammate Casey Stone who is currently at the third place in the championship.
