Red Bull Racing driver Sebastian Vettel has become the youngest double world champion in Formula 1 history after winning the 2011 title at the Japanese Grand Prix in Suzuka recently.
The German was the first driver in Formula 1 history, who won the championship in his very early age at the end of the 2010 season.
After achieving his goal last year, Vettel took a very strong start to the 2011 Formula 1 season with an aim of getting another title.
The 24-year-old driver had a good race weekend in the first round of the ongoing season at Australia, where he managed his first race victory in order to challenge this year’s title.
After starting the race from the pole, the RBR driver ended up at the top place ahead of all drivers. He earned 25 points from the Australian Grand Prix and after that, he moved on the next race of the ongoing season with an aim of getting another race victory.
He again put his team at the top place in the 2011 Malaysian Grand Prix. After struggling with his RB7 car, he got 25 points in the end for his best outcomes in the 2011 championship battle.
In the following Grand Prix, Vettel took a strong start and secured his third pole place of the season in the qualifying round 3 for the Chinese race. He could not manage his race for another victory, because McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton was faster as compared
to him and he won the race in the end as well.
After the three rounds of the season, Vettel was leading the 2011 drivers’ championship with 68 points ahead of all drivers.
The team driver was back to his winning ways at the Turkish Grand Prix, where he won the race for the third time in the season.
Although Vettel did not secure a pole place for the 2011 Spanish Grand Prix, he started fighting for his triumph from the start of the race and remained competitive until the end of the Grand Prix.
The Spanish race was his fourth win of the ongoing season.
Vettel struggled with his car on the most challenging and toughest racetracks in the sport at Monaco. He again took a top position for his team in the sixth round of the season.
The Red Bull Racing driver again pushed on the second position in the 2011 Canadian Grand Prix. McLaren driver Jenson Button had a good race pace during the race and after battling it out with their rivals, he won the race at the Canadian racetrack. Vettel
came at the second position with a gap of 2.7 seconds behind Button in the final race classifications.

The 2011 German Grand Prix proved unlucky for Vettel, as he could not finish his race on the podium. After starting from the third place on the opening grid, he came at the fourth position in the final race classifications.
He was back on the podium in the Hungarian race weekend and kept his momentum until the recently held Japanese Grand Prix. After the Singapore win, Vettel needed only one point in order to win title. By finishing third and securing 15 points, Vettel was
crowned as the new double world champion.
