I remember watching a documentary about the history of human astronomy, that included everything from the ancient greeks/mayans/chinese to Galileo, Kepler, Copernicus and to more modern times of Einstein, Hawking etc.

I remembered that this was the first episode of the History Channel series "The Universe", but apparently i was wrong, as i cant find any information about it being part of that series.

Im really anxious to watch it again, and i remember watching it in August 2007, even though it may or may not be much older than that. But the main thing in it was a systematic account of the history of human astronomy, and if it helps, i remember distinctly that there was a part about the people who found the first extra-solar planets, and about they almost gave up on their search.....

If anyone would know the one im talking about, id be really greatful
