1. Umm, an allele is an allele. It's not a trait. The question is nonsensical.

A dominant allele is one where an organism heterozygous for tht allele has the same phenotype as an organism homozygous for it.

  2. B) a trait that prevents the showing of other traits

The allele for Black hair, say, is dominant over the allele for blond hair. So if your gene for hair color contains even 1 allele for black hair and 2 alleles for blond hair, you would be black haired.

  3. B) a trait that prevents the showing of other traits

  4. B) a trait that prevents the showing of other traits .

Eg. In peas Tt = tall - due to the expression of the dominant tall allele (T); - the dwarf allele (t) is not expressed in the presence of the dominant T allele.
