Jose Mourinho appeared satisfied with his team’s victory over Real Betis, but commented that a draw between the two teams would have been more appropriate.
The Portuguese mentor was not short of praise for his side’s opponents on Saturday and went ahead stating that Betis deserved a point from the match.
The former Porto boss admired the fighting spirit displayed by Pepe Mel’s men and claimed that Real Betis managed to put up an impressive display.
Many had predicted Los Blancos to emerge victorious with ease from the fixture as they have been quite brilliant on the road this season.
However, the victory was far from comfortable for the Spanish champions, and they had to give the match their best, in order to secure the win.

Mourinho has commented that a stalemate between the teams would have done justice to Betis.
"A draw would have been a fairer result. Betis are a great example of a side that doesn't play to win titles, but rather to put on a show and thrill their fans with games like these,” quoted the Portuguese while addressing the press.
"It is a fantastic coaching philosophy and players respond well to it," he added.
