I can draw exact pictures, but only if I have that person sitting in front of me, or if I have an actually photograph to look at. Can everybody do that, or is it a talent? Be honest. It won't hurt my feelings.

  1. talent is simply a natural ability, technicaly, if you can draw, your talented. How many people do I know that can't draw? A lot. How many people do I know that can run faster than me? Most. Talents are everywhere. Some people can't draw by pictures, some people can. I myself am both ways on drawing, good with and without pictures. But yah, your deffinently a good artist (I can't draw humans) so I'd say your talented, in more than one aspect of your drawing.

  2. It IS a talent. In my art class we had to draw each other, and the bozo sitting across from me made me a stick figure with glasses.

I also draw from photographs. I print out pictures of my favorite celebrities or my friends and draw them, then give them as gifts. I have fun doing it and everyone loves them, especially the amount of detail you get from drawing real people.

If you're like me you probably have tried to draw from your own imagination, but that's usually disappointing because you just can't seem to jot it down exactly right without some real visual representation.

Anywho, yes, you do have talent.

  3. Yes you have talent.

It's really hard for me to just draw someone from memory and have it turn out to really look like them.  I have to have a photo or model too.

I can do landscapes, some objects and some animals from memory or imagination but not people portraits.
