Question:

A dresscode for women in Paris?

I'm going to France in a few weeks, and a friend of mine told me that it is completely inappropriate to wear anything above the knees. This is a bit disconcerting as all of my skirts and dresses are a bit above my knees (I'm a college student). Will I be heckled unless I only wear pants?

  1. Well, I went in the Spring, but all the teens were wearing black skinny jeans and scarves. In Paris, they have this odd custom of wearing stockings (not the black leggings, you know what I'm talking about, right?) underneath capris so I think they might be a bit more formal there. However, I would be a little concerned the guys might hit on you or something, because they can be aggressive towards girls... but there's lots of cute ones!!! Anyways, have fun!

  2. I don't think so.  Go ahead and wear whatever- it is very bohemian like there in the city.

  3. Nonsense. Wear what you please and what you are comfortable with.
