A duck question.... please answer

My duck.. im not sure if its a girl or a boy.. but apperently boys have a feather pointing up on the tail... mine doesnt have that so at the moment shes a girl.. shes 9 onths old and still hasnt laid an egg.. she has just started to poo somthig like white glue it looks gewy sort of.. she was there sitting next to me i was patting here and jst gu was coming out and it seemed like she was breathless.. please tell me y isnt she laying eggs and what is this gu that is coming out

Sounds like a female. You can tell from the curled feather on the tale (if it's a male).

Also if it quacks loudly it's a female and if it has a raspy soft quack it's a male. It sounds like you got your duck at a time where it probably won't lay eggs till next april(ish). If it is a female, it would have been slightly too young to lay eggs for this season, and this season is now over (if you live in America) so you'll be good for a while.

BTW my female is pooing gluish stuff too.... Not sure what that is but it appears to be okay.
