  1. It is very unsanitary, the person drinking from the container is depositing their germs and saliva inside of the container, this causes the spread of cold viruses, germs and  other bacteria. It is totally NASTY!!!!

  2. If he/she is the only person drinking from that bottle, it is probably fine.  If it takes more than a couple days to finish the bottle, even if it refridgerated, he could transfer germs to the bottle which could then grow.

If that bottle is shared by other people, then it is not sanitary, because they could spread their germs to everyone else in the family.

It's better to pour from the shared bottle to an individual cup, and use that cup for one sitting and then wash it.  Drinking straight fromt he bottle won't kill anyone, and it's not the worst habit in the world, but it isn't polite or totally sanitary, either.

  3. It isn't exactly hygienic, but it's not Life threatening.

Remind me not to have tea at yours.

  4. would you buy a bottled water if the brand name was backwash?

  5. That's disgusting!!!!

  6. Once you make physical contact with something you transfer germs or whatever is on the part of you which makes contact.  Like hands touching toilets and food and door k***s.  If you are carrying viruses or germs or bacteria that could be transferred when that contact occurs.  When you drink from a container your saliva is also transferred to the content of the drink.  So especially when someone is sick it is wise not to have the ill person drink and contaminate the drink and container holding the drink for others to get contaminated and potentially sick as well.  Most family members make physical contact with each other and our bodies build up resistance to many germs over time.  It is really just best to not drink from any container that others will be taking from and drinking.  Maybe have a glass by the refrigerator to make it easier for the family member to get and use to avoid potential problems.

  7. ITS NOT SAFE. THEY ARE PUTTING GERMS IN IT AND YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY HAVE!!
