ok now this might be abit graphic :S but here we go

the other day i thought i'd make a first attempt at "exploring myself" down there..but when i tried to but my fingers inside they wouldnt go in i could feel something hard stopping them and it hurt when i tried to force my fingers further..i thought this might be my hymen or something but surely it cant be that thick and shouldnt hurt so much?

so now im totally unsure of whether or not my "down there" is normal..can someone please tell what its supposed to be like

sorry if this is abit gross thanks x

  1. Ignore Ben, he seems like someone out to cause you some panic and upset, and he's about as likely to be a doctor as I am to be typing this on the moon!!

    OK, down to business.

You don't say how old you are or if you have periods. If you do have your periods and you bleed normally then it's not a completely intact hymen and it's most likely that your hymen needs stretching. You can do that a little at a time, just by using something to make you 'slippy', (a lubricant, if you don't want to go out and buy any because you're embarrased cooking oil works just fine, and it doesn't irritate (but I wouldn't get it direct fro the chip pan!! LOL)) and your fingers or a vibrator. I have to say that I've had a baby, by section, and I'm still (technically) a virgin, because although my hymen has been stretched it's never broken!! Immaculate conception jokes were made by the mid-wives!! LOL

If you think it could be that you were a little tense then just relax and enjoy, explore it all, take your time, the clitoris is a good place to go too!! LOL

If you don't have your periods and you think that you should then it might be that your hymen completely covers that entrance to your v****a. If that's so then you ought to go and see a doctor and discuss it, and even though you'll be embarrassed it's better to get it sorted out and the doctor will have seen all those bits and pieces before.

Whatever it is, you'll be just fine.

  2. i have thought this before..im pretty positive its your cervix! it is hard but still abit squishy..it is like a domey shape and pointer but still round at the bottom..this is where you feel first..and can move your fingers around it? if yes then its your cervix..and if you press it i can imagine it to hurt.

you cant feel your hymen as its stretched skin and this isnt inside your v****a...i asked a friend of mine and she said she has it as and it reasured me alot..if your still worried go to a nurse..

    ..x..

oo sorry read your Q wrong..well im guessing its your hymen if you cant put your fingers in at all..but normally you should usually put a finger in or something..i think you should see a nurse..

  3. Apology accepted and I am not really sure about that I would consider seeing a doctor if you are worried.

  4. just google a diagram and use a hand mirror then you can see everything.

sometimes when your not aroused it can feel liek theres not even a hole there

  5. It just sounds like you were pressing down on the pelvic bone. And if you've never done it before (and your nervous) it won't feel very comfortable either.

You just need to relax and take your time.

If the pain doesn't go away or gets worse, go to your doctor - it's their job to check these things out.

But just sounds like you need to practice techniques, you'll be fine!

  6. it's sounds to me like you were nervous and tense down there. it dose'nt sound like your haymen just the muscles at the opening of the v****a. relaxe and try again, but don't force it. good luck.

  7. Hi there...its a coincidence because made a discovery only today that just outside the opening the hymen lies..one cant explore oneself vaginally without causing some damage to the tissue..personally i would recommend keeping it intact and leaving the job for your man(in future that is)..just keep concentrating on ure clitoris whenever youre in the mood...trust me, its worth it

  8. well. im a urethical doctor and in many cases 'hard painfull' lumps in your vaginal cavity is cause bye a flesh eating disiease called vangelic herocticer.if not treated may servially damage your lower body causeing the loss of your legs. i would advise you go straight to your local doctor. unless you want to compete in the para olmypics.

    yours sinserly

  9. well......... first of all how old are you???? if you haven't had s*x yet you migth be a little tight down there which is very normal... the first time you do might hurt but hey thats how it is sometimes?!?! anyways don't finger yourself... no need for that!! your ok.. nothing wrong with you!
