A few GIMP questions...?

I'm thinking about getting GIMP on my computer. Will it replace my original Paint program? Will it slow down my computer? Does it have many files to download? Any extra information would be great. I have a Windows XP. Thanks!

GIMP will not remove Paint, and it will not put too many files on your computer. It's relatively big, but no bigger than Photoshop. It won't slow down your computer either because it only runs when you use it.

I agree with Nick J gimp will not harm or remove your original        paint program.And it will not slow down your computer. It has a more files than windows paint program but it should not slow down your computer unless you have very little memory ram on your computer.
