A few days ago the dish washer (Kenmore/ GE) was switched on. After sometime I could smell a burning odor. Didn't quiet realize what it was, but the next day in the morning we noticed the dish washer was in the "Rinse" stage and noticed water collected in the tub, but the machine was not operational. We finally realized the burning smell was from the dish washer. I did a continuity test on the motor and it checked out fine. I did a continuity test on the motor inlet valve but it did not pass the continuity test. I called Sears support and they have quoted me $179 for a complete fix including one year warranty . This is too high.. Has someone gone through this same trouble. Any suggestions?
