A few extra pounds don’t matter (Part 4)
Pat Hurst:
We have another mother on board; with two kids and a lot more pounds, Hurst has collected a total of 11 professional wins in her record. The forty one year old joined the LPGA Tour in 1994 and has bagged a total of 6 LPGA Tour victories with 5 other wins.
The female golfer proved that weighing heavy on the machine doesn’t cost you any match and grabbed the Kraft Nabisco Championship in 1988. She is also the winner of the U.S. Women’s Amateur in the year 1989 and NCAA Title individually.
Colin Montgomerie:
With 40 professional wins and a stout appearance, Monty also makes it to our top 25 fitness-averse golfers list.
The Ryder Cup captain from 2010 appeared from the European side and reached the Order of Merit money list seven times in count. With not even a single match lost at the Ryder Cup, Monty is now only 1.5 points behind Nick Faldo. In 2004, the forty seven year
old Scott achieved the honour of becoming the Officer of the Order of the British Empire.
Eduardo Romero:
Further up the top 25 list, a rather dangerous golfer to rival with is Romero.
The golfer who has collected a total of 74 worldwide victories for his record has a total of 210 lbs on the scale as well. As a mentor to Angel Cabrera, Romero collected the European Tour 8 times, the Champions Tour 5 times and the European Seniors Tour
2 times. ‘The Cat’ attained most of his victories from South America and Latin America and turned professional in the year 1980.
Miguel Angel Jimenez:
Here stands a golfer who loves cars and cigars and merlot and a little bit of golf.
Jimenez makes it to our list with 189 lbs and has a total of 18 European Tour wins to boast about, 3 of which were grabbed this year. ‘The mechanic’ has played on the Ryder Cup teams 4 times and represented Spain in the World Cup  eleven times in count.
Darren Clarke:
One more golfer who stands heavily on the scale is Clarke with 19 professional wins. Clarke is most known for his brawls with Tiger Woods from the year 2002. The 215 lb golfer has 2 wins from the U.S. and 9 from the European Tour as if this isnt enough,
Clarke has also appeared at the Ryder Cup 5 times and has served as the Vice-Captain in 2010.
Miller Barber:
Barber performed his best when he was the roundest.
The golfer has collected 40 wins of which 24 reside with the Champions Tour. Barber won 5 of his Champions Tour which are said to favour him more when he had that extra but of pound on him.
Porky Oliver:
At number four, Oliver makes it to the list with 250 pounds in weight.
"Porky" grabbed 8 PGA Tours in his record and six other events in the U.S. plus as much as Oliver is known for his success, he is also famous for his fire escape story. According to reports, Oliver once helped Valerie Hogan with the fire escape as the motel
where a bunch of golfers were staying, had caught fire.
At top three places, Joey Sindelar, Bob Murphy and Tim Herron stand tall with massive successes and a bit of a pound thump.
Joey Sindelar:
Weighing 220 lbs, the golfer from New York has a total of 9 wins professionally. Sindelar has won the PGA Tour 7 times, the New York State Junior and the New York State Amateur event as well. The now fifty-two year old has also been a member of the NCAA
Championship team in the year 1979 and was labeled as the Athlete of the Year in 1981 despite the fact that he had that extra bit of calories on him.
Bob Murphy:
At number two, Bob Murphy declares that success and calories don’t really go well with each other and is currently favouring 205 pounds. Murphy grabbed the U.S. Amateur Championship and the NCAA Championship consecutively on the years 1965 and 1966 and has
21 professional wins, 5 PGA Tour victories, 11 Champions Tour victories and had been the Florida Gator albeit the stoutness.
Tim Herron
The number one place is handed out to Tim Herron who was more than just fit.
Known as ‘Lumpy’, Herron likes ice fishing much more than golf and tops our fitness-averse list with 210 lbs on the weighing scale. The forty year old golfer won the U.S. Walker Cup from 1993 continuously three times and had been the first-team All-American
for 2 years.
He is also famous for defeating Tiger Woods in the 1992 U.S. Amateur championship where Woods lost only two out of his 23 matches. However, Herron is famous in our list because he avoids exercise as much as he can.
