  1. 19.  wood burning

    2.  On September 4, 1882, the first commercial power station, located on Pearl Street in lower Manhattan, went into operation providing light and electricity power to customers in a one square mile area; the electric age had begun.

    3.  Lighting

    4.  Coal, wood

    7.  I think there is an error in this question.  The first COMMERCIAL POWER STATION was started on September 4, 1882 by Thomas Edison.  It didn't involve trains.  There is no such thing as a steam electric train except for antique toy trains.  The first steam locomotive was built by Richard Trevithick; it first ran on 21 February 1804.  A gas turbine-electric locomotive, or GTEL, is a locomotive that uses a gas turbine to drive an electrical generator or alternator. The electric current thus produced is used to power traction motors. This type of locomotive was first experimented with in 1920 but reached its peak in the 1950s to 1960s.

    8.  Oil

    9.  Anthracite, bituminous, Lignite, sub-bitumious

    10.  The intensely folded rocks of the western Appalachian Mountains produced the first commercial oil well in the United States in 1859.  Kerosene or lamp oil
