My brother is currently at Fort Jackson, SC for boot camp and sent me a letter with a few questions about his AIT which will be at Fort Gordon in Georgia:

1. How is Fort Gordon, Georgia as an AIT base?

2. If his AIT is longer than 2 months, will he be allowed a POV (publicly owned vehicle)?

3. At AIT, is there a leave for Thanksgiving? If so, how long?

4. How long is exodus?

5. When are weekend passes usually started at Fort Gordon--right away or a few weeks in?

6. Do they allow you to have electronics such as cell phones and laptops at AIT at Fort Gordon?

Thank you to anyone who may be able to help with answers!
